Our commitment to more considerate marketing

We know that certain occasions can be really difficult for some people. And a while ago we noticed some of our customers were telling us how hard they were finding being exposed to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day marketing.

So periodically, we ask everyone on our email database if they’d like to opt-out of receiving specific emails. And the response we got from this little act of thoughtfulness has been great. We were pleasantly surprised that simply asking you what you do (and importantly don’t) want us to talk to you about could make such a big difference to so many.

But we also wanted to make sure we were continuing to make things easier for our customers. That’s why we’re going further this year to help make all sensitive occasions a little more manageable.

What we’re doing

Just like last year, anyone who has opted-out of Mother’s Day or Father’s Day reminders won’t get any emails about it but there will still be references to occasions on our website This includes our homepage, our menus and even our products when you’re logged into your account. And if your Facebook, Instagram or Gmail accounts use the same email address you might see some ads about the occasion there, but be assured we are working on upgrading our technology to include these options as well

    Here in Ireland, hot weather is rarely an issue, but what is it like where you are sending this chocolate? We have no control over the way it is transported and how long it stays in hot trucks or depots.

    Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for the condition of the chocolate you send.

    Tips for Warm Weather Shipping:

    • Please be aware that we use a registered postal delivery service so all packages are tracked and must be signed for on delivery. If there is no one available to sign for the package, please be aware your chocolate will be put back on the truck and stored in the nearest depot for collection.
    • If possible, ship to a business address. Businesses usually receive packages earlier in the morning and someone is always onsite to receive the package. This way your product isn’t exposed to the hot sun all day.
    • After receiving your package, let it rest at room temperature to provide items time to set before opening.
