Follow these 5 steps to make your very own Halloween Squishies

STEP1: Melting your Chocolate.

Once you have your marshmallows, chocolate and piping bag (made from grease proof paper and cut to size then melt your chocolate in a bowl over hot water (don’t let the bowl touch the water) and stir until fully melted.

STEP 2: Get creative and give the Squishies expressions…

Pour the melted chocolate into your piping bag and let your imagination take over as you decorate the faces.

(Set your kids a challenge and get them to try to make lots of different expressions.)

STEP 3: Give your Squishies hair…

Here at Skelligs Chocolate we had great fun making these but when it came to the hair there were 2 schools of thought:

1. Dip the top part of the marshmallow in the melted chocolate then turn over and let it pour over the sides.

2. Take your piping bag and carefully squeeze out chocolate on the top and control the amount that comes over the sides.

Repeat until all of the Squishies have “hair”.

STEP 4: Apply finishing touches and then leave to set…

Again with the piping bag, apply the finishing touches to your Squishies. We gave ours scars and eye-balls using a mixture of white and dark chocolate.

Allow the Squishies to set completely by leaving them in a cool place.

STEP 5: Share & Enjoy!

Get creative by mixing different chocolate types together. This means you can use white chocolate for eyeballs and strawberry chocolate to make Squishie ghosts and ghouls.

Our Mixed Chocolate Drops pouch contains white, milk AND strawberry chocolate drops. Available in either 500g or 1kg options.

  • Thank you for choosing Skelligs Chocolate. We work hard at making the best possible chocolate we can and we do our best to make sure it arrives in the same condition as it left us.

Here in Ireland, hot weather is rarely an issue, but what is it like where you are sending this chocolate? We have no control over the way it is transported and how long it stays in hot trucks or depots.

Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for the condition of the chocolate you send.

If you are happy to take responsibility please just tick the box and proceed.

If you would like to discuss this with us please email us at office@skelligschocolate.com or call us on 00 353 66 9479119 to discuss what we can do for you.

    Tips for Warm Weather Shipping:

    • Please be aware that we use a registered postal delivery service so all packages are tracked and must be signed for on delivery. If there is no one available to sign for the package, please be aware your chocolate will be put back on the truck and stored in the nearest depot for collection.
    • If possible, ship to a business address. Businesses usually receive packages earlier in the morning and someone is always onsite to receive the package. This way your product isn’t exposed to the hot sun all day.
    • After receiving your package, let it rest at room temperature to provide items time to set before opening.
