Well it’s official summers here. Looking for something special to do in Kerry?
If you are travelling on the Ring of Kerry or the Wild Atlantic Way then you are in for a treat when you come to the Skellig Coast, incredible scenery, beautiful food and of course fantastic chocolate.
And if you are passing by, did we mention the free chocolate tasting (every day) to help you discover why we are the Finest in the Kingdom.
It may be small but it's full of flavour like the chocolate it sells. With about 30 different kinds of chocolate, open plan factory you can have a peek into while enjoying tasting experience it is a must go for chocolate lovers big and small. Lovely little cafe with picturesque view from the windows and friendly staff. We will be back!
I have been purchasing Skelligs Chocolate for some time now and my family and I love this chocolate. The chocolate is far superior than some other brands out there. It has a beautiful taste and is very smooth to the pallet. I find the staff in Skelligs Chocolate to be extremely helpful and can't do enough for you and whenever I have an issue it is rectified straight away.
Very modern facility for an area which is so far away from the main towns of Kerry. Very friendly service. You go in and get a free tasting of the chocolate made on site. The lad who was serving us was sound and happy to engage in conversation with us. Lovely cafe here too.Oh the chocolate is amazing so do treat yourself to a box for the way back home.
Really nice place, when you go in they offer you a taste of some of the different chocolates they make. All were delicious and ended up buying a few. Great range, including whiskey and gin and tonic flavours. We went on a Sunday so they weren't making chocolate at the time but if you go on a weekday you can see the whole process. There is a nice luke cafe there as well. Basically if you like chocolate it is a good place to go, if you are on a diet stay away.
A wonderful Chocolate shop and Cafe. They offer free chocolate tastings. We bought the White Chocolate Raspberry and the Salted Caramel Chocolates. Both were absolutely delicious. The Chocolate Chunk Cookie from the cafe was also great. A lovely stop when travelling the Ring of Skellig.
Chocolates out of this world. They offer chocolate tasting and you can view the chocolate making process. Purchase some delicious chocolate and afterwards sit in the cafe over a scrumptious coffee, hot chocolate etc.
We stopped here on a whim on our Ring of Kerry drive, and were so happy we did. We got to taste several kinds of chocolate made there on site, and afterwards my in-laws bought a bunch while my wife ate a piece of homemade cheesecake. I had a coffee to sharpen the edges before getting back on the road which was very good. Worth a stop!
Its a chocolate factory. What's not to love. The chocolate is expensive, but fabulous. Have a cinnamon hot chocolate while you're there. The location is amazing with views out to sea. A must visit if you're touring South Kerry
Perfect chocolate!! We came for the free chocolate tasting on our trip around the Ring of Kerry. We left with a few bags of chocolate to devour and share with our families back home! I'm certain we will be ordering chocolate online until we can make another trip!!
There are not enough good things I can say about my experience with Skellig. Ordered the caramel egg for an Easter treat for someone. I was lucky enough to try it myself also, and I really do mean lucky enough. The chocolate is delicious, but the caramel is the best I've ever had. 100% buying again next year. Also they processed and delivered the order very quickly. 15/10 will eat again
This place is fantastic and is in such a beautiful location. Also it is FREE in!! My kids had a ball we went in and a member of staff immediately invited us for some chocolate tasting!! There is a lovely cafe with lots of sweet treats and you can purchase many different items made out of Skellig chocolate as gifts! Staff are wonderful and so friendly I can’t wait to go back! Did I mention it was FREE!!!
Make the stop on your tour of the Ring of Kerry and enjoy some amazing chocolates. I particularly loved the sign for unattended children. This is a great place to get out of the car without the need to bring your camera. A nice clean bathroom and cafe awaits you after those long winding roads.
I went here with my family, this is a lovely place to visit, you can see clearly how they make the chocolate and there are people giving you different chocolates for tasting, the orange and dark chocolate is my favorite. There is an cafe in there as well, they do cakes and coffees, you should definitely try out their hot chocolate, they have a lot of choices, milk, dark, white, caramel, chili and mint. The cafe have a nice sitting area inside and outside, and it has a nice garden as well. On the way to the Skellig chocolate there is a beach, you can also get down there and take some pictures
A great place to visit if you are touring the area. Stunning views and a lovely beach nearby. Take the tasting tour of the factory and sample every type of chocolate they make, they are all delicious. Then buy some of your favourites at the shop. Also pop into the cafe for a bite to eat and a hot chocolate, probably the best hot chocolate I have ever had. Absolutely delicious! It total you would spend 40 mins or so there so it's a good place to visit as a pit stop on your journey. I will definitely be going back next time I visit the area.
A great place for the whole family to visit. Generous chocolate tasting with friendly and relaxed staff and an amazing range of products. Plus a cafe full of sweet treats guaranteed to sabotage any diet! Outdoor seating as well with Atlantic waves breaking only yards away. If you can't get here you can order online.
A Chocolate lovers delight! The staff were very informative and generous during the tasting. The factory is open so you can see the chocolate being made as your eyeing up your chocolate purchase! It’s kid friendly with a decent cafe & also a picnic area. Well worth stopping into for a visit!
Thank you for choosing Skelligs Chocolate. We work hard at making the best possible chocolate we can and we do our best to make sure it arrives in the same condition as it left us.
Here in Ireland, hot weather is rarely an issue, but what is it like where you are sending this chocolate? We have no control over the way it is transported and how long it stays in hot trucks or depots.
Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for the condition of the chocolate you send.
If you are happy to take responsibility please just tick the box and proceed.
If you would like to discuss this with us please email us at email@example.com or call us on 00 353 66 9479119 to discuss what we can do for you.
Tips for Warm Weather Shipping:
Please be aware that we use a registered postal delivery service so all packages are tracked and must be signed for on delivery. If there is no one available to sign for the package, please be aware your chocolate will be put back on the truck and stored in the nearest depot for collection.
If possible, ship to a business address. Businesses usually receive packages earlier in the morning and someone is always onsite to receive the package. This way your product isn’t exposed to the hot sun all day.
After receiving your package, let it rest at room temperature to provide items time to set before opening.
Apologies but we are unable to Ship to the USA
With excessive heat related issues from our couriers we, regrettably, cannot send any chocolates to America.
This will be reviewed at the end of August
